My son is turning 7 today and is ready to upgrade from his 16" bike to a 20". I looked at Specialized, Trek, Redline and a few others. Truth be told, he's still kind of young for a true BMX bike built for jumping and racing. I've found his Diamondback Viper 16" bike he's had for the past 3 years to be relatively light (compared to all of the junk bikes his friends have), well built and fun to ride. So I went with this 20" Viper X BMX bike as his next bike. One of the main upgrades he'll have to get used to is the freewheel design with a lever brake. It appears to be fairly simple for a 7 year old to make that adjustment - but he's used to pushing back on the pedals to stop, so I'm sure it will take him a bit of riding to get used to it.I built the bike last night in about an hour. I just had to install the seat, front wheel and handlebars. This was all very easy and took about 15 minutes tops. Then I had to install the brakes. That was a little more tough. I don't put bikes together often and although "Assembly Instructions" are included, they are generic and relatively unhelpful. I played with the brake lever and cable for about 45 minutes before getting everything in place and adjusted to where I liked it. Not difficult, but not overly simple either. I am impressed again with the build quality, paint and look of the bike. For the price, you really can't beat it. I expect this to be his bike for the next three or four years before upgrading to something more "pro".

My ten year old son LOVES this bike. We had looked at these bikes in a local department store and decided to go online to order it. We were truely satisfied with the service we got from your company. A-1 service!!!! The bike was delivered with free shipping and arrived at our home within two days of purchasing. It was very easy to assemble!
